O palco estava definido desde o início do campeonato: Sixways Stadium em Worcester, lar dos Warriors, meio do caminho entre os times que disputaram a final da Copa Anglo-Galesa, a LV= Cup: Harlequins, de Londres, e Sale Sharks, de Salford, grande Manchester.
Harlequins, duas vezes campeão do torneio, havia eliminado o maior campeão da Copa, o Bath Rugby, somando os títulos da antiga Copa da Inglaterra e da nova Copa Anglo-Galesa. Já os Sharks, em busca do título inédito, haviam eliminado o líder da Premiership, Saracens em uma atuação empolgante.
Os Sharks fizeram sua parte em uma final se dedicando ao máximo, mas os Quins foram incisivos e precisos em suas jogadas, fazendo os Sharks lutarem, mas desperdiçar seus esforços.
Com quatro tries, dois no primeiro tempo anotados por Tom Williams e Tom Guest e dois no segundo, por Tom Casson e Luke Wallace, três deles convertidos por Botica e somados às duas penalidades efetuadas também por Botica, os Harlequins construíram seu placar.
Sem conseguir transpor a defesa dos Harlequins, os Sharks conseguiram apenas três penalidades convertidas por Cipriani e um try não convertido anotado aos 58 minutos por Johnny Leota.
Os Sharks lutaram bravamente até o final, mas não foram capazes de alterar o placar no último quarto de hora, porque os Quins mativeram a pegada defensiva forte, garantindo o curso para a conquista da LV= Cup, Aviva Premiership e da Copa Heineken.

Harlequins: champion of the LV = Cup, the Anglo-Welsh Cup.
The stage was set since of the beginning of the championship: Sixways Stadium in Worcester, home of the Warriors, halfway between the teams that battled in the final: London Harlequins and Sale Sharks Salford, Greater Manchester.
Harlequins, twice champion of the tournament, had eliminated the greatest champion of the Cup, Bath Rugby. Sharks in search of this first conquer, had eliminated the leader of the Premiership, Saracens in an exciting performance.
Sharks did their best in a final dedicating themselves to the fullest, but Quins were incisive and accurate in their match, making the Sharks fight, but wasting their efforts.
With four tries, two scored by Tom Williams Tom Guest in the first half, and two in the second, by Tom Casson and Luke Wallace, and two penalties converted by Botica built Harlequins´s score. Botica converted three of the four tries of Quins.
Unable to overcome the Harlequins´s defense, Sharks converted just three penalties by Cipriani and an unconverted try on 58 minutes scored by Johnny Leota.
The Sharks fought bravely until the end but they were unable to change the score in the last fifteen minutes, because the Quins kept strong his defensive, ensuring the course for winning the LV = Cup, Aviva Premiership and Heineken Cup.
